If you are living in Vejle Kommune (Municipality), you can apply for your free Danish classes online.
This application is a declaration of consent. When filling out this application, you give Vejle Kommune (Municipality) permission to process your personal information.
The municipality is not allowed to process your personal information without your consent. In order to assess whether you are entitled to free Danish lessons, we need to receive and disclose information to Vejle language center and Jobcenter, as well as any former language center or municipality, if you have lived elsewhere or have been enrolled in the official Danish Education Programme elsewhere.
We only process information relevant to your case of Danish classes.
This form is only for residents of Vejle Kommune (municipality)
If you live in a different municipality, you may still choose to learn Danish at Sprogcenter Vejle. In that case, you will need to contact the Jobcenter in you municipality.

Step 1: Apply: give consent
To assess whether you are entitled to free Danish lessons under the official Danish Education Programme (Danskuddannelsen), we need to process your personal data. Therefore, we require your consent, as the municipality (JOBVejle and Language Center Vejle) is not allowed to process your data without your permission.
You may expect to hear from us within 2 weeks of filling out this form.
Are you not living in Vejle Municipality (Kommune)? Please contact the jobcentre in your municipality.
The jobcentre will assess whether you are entitled to free Danish lessons
In order to assess whether you are entitled to free Danish lessons in the Official Danish Education Programme, JOBVejle needs to collect, process, and disclose your personal data in cooperation with your current municipality as well as any previous municipality of residence and language centres, if you have previously been admitted to a language center.
We will process confidential personal data concerning:
- Personal information
- Rights to lessons in the Official Danish Education Programme (Danskuddannelsesret)
- Danish lessons
When processing your personal data, we follow the privacy policy of Vejle Municipality in accordance with Danish law.
JOBVejle will contact us
If you are entitled to free Danish lessons (Danskuddannelse), JOBVejle will send a referral to us at Sprogcenter Vejle.
If you are not entitled to free Danish lessons, JOBVejle will contact you and inform you of your possibilities of learning Danish.
We will invite you to an interview
Before being admitted into Sprogcenter Vejle, you need to have an interview interview with one of our counselors.
During the interview, we will be talking about your educational background and motivation for learning Danish. You also need to take a language test to determine the most suitable level for you.
Usually, you will be able to start your classes within one or two weeks after the interview.
Deposit: you must pay a deposit of 2.000,- dkkr. before you can begin your classes, if you are in Denmark for work or study, or if you are an accompanying partner, or you are here based on family reunification under the EU-law.
