Even though you do not pay for your Danish lessons, language school isn't free of charge. Your lessons are paid for by your municipality. And that's why it its important that you attend your classes.

Naturally however, there will be days where you will be absent, because you are unable to come to school. Maybe because you or your child is sick, or maybe you have a job interview.

Here is what to do if you can't attend school:

Give notice:

Please, give notice of your absence in Ludus. How? Find a tutorial here.

If you are absent for a week, you will receive a text message from the school. It is important that you contact us if you do receive a message from us regarding your absence. If you do not contact us, you may be withdrawn from Sprogcenter Vejle.

If you receive benefits from the municipality, your caseworker will be notified as well.

Take a break:

If you know, you will be unable to attend classes for a period of time (i.e. more than just a day or two), it is possible to announce a break (pause). Please, contact the Informations desk if you need to take a break.

You are always welcome to contact us with any questions. We are happy to help you, if you can't come to school for any reason.

Unfortunately, parking isn't availble at Sprogcenter Vejle. You are allowed to park in Ribegade, behind the school.

We refer you to the nearest parking garages: Bryggen and Cronhammar. Parking is free for the first two hours, and you pay by the hour hereafter. Find more information on parking in Vejle here.

Smoking is prohibited at Sprogcenter Vejle - outside as well as inside.

Smoking is also prohibited in the parking lot. You may be fined.

We have our own library in the basement of Sprogcenter Vejle, where all sorts of books are available for borrowing: text books, grammar books, dictionaries as well as easy-to-read novels (fiction as well as non-fiction)

Opening hours:

Monday to Thursday, 10.30-12.00

Return books:

You can easily return your books at all times, also outside of the library's opening hours. Boxes for returning books are placed by the main entrance and by the entrance way into the library.
